Viejas Environmental Programs | Composting

Worldwide, almost 40% of all food produced is thrown away. One way you can reduce the environmental impact from food waste is to compost and return nutrients back into the earth.

Viejas Environmental Programs is currently in the process of developing a food waste reduction program, which will include collecting food waste from Tribal Members and producing compost onsite for soil regeneration. In the meantime, we encourage Tribal members to start their own compost!
